The (supposed) end justifies the means. As if we didn't already know, the worst president in American history today affirmed that the United States is a nation of torturers by vetoing a law that would outlaw waterboarding. Bush likes to say about terrorists that "they hate us for our freedoms," but this act makes it clear--they hate us because we're the bad guys.Please note that this is a bill that John W. McCain voted against. Count the former POW who endured North Vietnamese torture as pro-torture.
